IME & IMO; I'd never keep a maroon clown with any other clown, other than its mate. They are very territorial and aggressive toward many other fish in general and especially other clownfish. Large (female) maroons can be incredibly vicious toward other clowns. Its possible that each species would establish its own territory in a 150, but I doubt it.

ha yeah maroons dont seem like they would enjoy company from other clowns lol. is there any other type of clown that i can keep with them? maybe black false clowns? ive read like EVERYTHING about clown fish and everyone says dont mix them. and i was just seeing if anyone on here has had luck doing it

I'm sure you can find someone that has done this successfully. Someone, somewhere has done just about everything in this hobby; in the short-term anyway. But like you say, " EVERYTHING you've read" says don't mix them" and "everyone says don't mix them"; don't you think " EVERYTHING &everyone" just might be right? If you are going to mix these fish regardless of what "EVERYTHING &everyone" says when you find the one reply you are looking for; why bother asking?

well i more then likely wont mix them
Good plan; I didn't mean to sound so harsh earlier; but I think the chances of a grown maroon tolerating the smaller clowns long-term are probably 1 in 100. Several years ago, before I qt'd everything, I had a grown maroon kill another one while the newcomer was still in the plastic bag.
