adding more rock question

I currently have a 55 gallon with about 30 pounds of rock. I am buying about 70 pounds of live fiji rock from someone. It will be about a 30 minute ride to my house. Can I add as much of this LR right to my tank as I want, or will this cause issues. SHould I try to take several buckets with me and fill them with water and keep the rock submersed?
How much live rock can realy fit into a 55. I also have an empty 65 and 10 gallon laying around that could be started. If I decide to start the 65 gallon, can I mix the salt, get the temp to 80, and add the rock instantly?
I am doing this today or tomorrow so quick responces are appreciated.

Buckets would be the best way, or you can wrap the rock in wet towels. The important thing is not letting it dry out. If it's good cured LR you shouldn't have a problem adding it. There could be a little die-off, so don't add 70lbs at once. :D

any suggestion on how much I could add at once, and then how long to wait to add the next amount. I have recently bought about 10 frags, so I would like to get the rock the way I want it, and then attach all the frags.
