Adding New Fish

Hi,
I have a 90 gallon tank and at this time I have 3 damsels, one flame angle, one six-line wrase and two (mated) clown fish. I have an anenome and a bubble. I'm ready to add more fish and coral. I've had a yellow tang and it died and I really miss seeing it in my tank but I'm also wanting to add (2) regal tangs because I've been told that it's best to add two instead of one. My question is, can I have regal's and a yellow tang. I've been told I can't. Is this true? I also realize that if I add more fish I really need to get rid of my damsels, because they are getting big. These are the fish I would like to add to my tank:
2- Hippo Tangs (regals) Never had these.
Yellow tang (if possible) (died)
Lawn Mower Blenny (died)
Key Hole Angel (died)
As you can see these are fish I've previously had and lost and I'm wanting to replace them. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, the fish up and dieing is not normal. How long has your tank been up and how did you cycle it? What are your water parameters? Also two tangs is better than one is false.

I've had my tank for 2 years it was a birthday present from my daughter and I started out with a 55 gal. The reason why I lost so many fish was because the heater in the tank was not enough watts, so we fixed that problem. I've went to a 90 gal. about six months ago and everything seems to being going well. But as I said earlier I'm ready to start adding more fish and coral and was wanting to know about a Yellow tang and the hippo tangs could they be in a 90 gal tank together.

You most likely would be able to have the tangs in the same tank the two regals and the one yellow as regals are generally subordinate to most other tangs, however that might not be enough space for tangs like lots of room to swim and a 90 gallon although a lot of space may not be enough for 3 tangs.

Regal/Hippo Tangs require a minimum 6 feet of swimming space. Your system is suitable for a Kole Tang. Yellow tangs also require larger systems...long-term. Your yellow tang may have died from stress from being in cramped quarters. Small yellows can survive in four foot tanks for a short period...so can small hippos.
All tangs require planty water movement too.
Your system cannot house the three tangs once they get larger.

i disagree.. you can have 3 tangs.. i would just introduce them smallest to biggest at different incraments.. like week 1 add one..week 2 add another and so on. I have a hippo, lopezi, and a yellow.. I added the hippo..then lopezi..then yellow..and they are all fine.. yellow doesn't mess w/ them at all. If you do i smart you should be ok

You can have three very samll juvenile tangs in a four foot tank short-term. However, if you do not upgrade to at least a 6 foot long tank most tangs will die from stress due to cramped quarters. Raising hippo tnags in a 4 foot tank long-term is cruel.
You are focusing on short-term and not long-term. Success is measured in years not days, weeks or months. Three audlt size tangs in a four foot set-up is a set-up that will lead to failure eventually.
You should never add fish as quickly as you suggest especially large waste producers such as tangs. In doing so you run the risk of increasing your bio-load too fast...so your bio-filration cannot compensate for the increased wastes.

is your 90 6 feet or 4 feet? anyways, she could put a yellow and a blue in her 90 either way. i would not suggest 2 regals though just 1. also the 2 tangs are better than one thing is not true.
