adding of calcium

i have just tufa rock in my tank and after 8months of being set up with only coraline from snail shells im finally starting to get a good bit of coraline growth on the rock. i have been thinking about starting to add calcium if it isnt too much trouble because i am only home on weekends and someone else feeds my tank during the week. is there an easy way to add calcium that the person taking care of my tank can just pour in ever few days or however often thanks for any suggestions

ESV B-Ionic two part calcium & alkalinity should work for you.
This stuff is a two part balanced carabonate and calcium system.
Very easy to dose - just pour in a measured amount of each bottle, waiting a few minutes/hours in between the two.
You'll still want to test the tankwater on the weekends, but dosing this stuff will be safer than a calcium supplement alone.
I would first test the pH, calcium and alkalinity - then if you want to, you can post these results.
Set up a dosage based upon your tank size and test results - then let the tank's caretaker dose accordingly during the week.
Then you update and check on weekends.
Kent Marine makes a similar two part product - I think it's called Tech CB.

thanks whats a good calcium test kit or do i not really have to test it ?

I use Salifert calcium and alkalinity test kits.
They work fine for me - better than the SeaTest I had used before.
