This algae is growing on a couple of pieces of recently cured live rock in my frag tank. Should I remove it before placing it in my 210, or leave it for my foxface and yellow tang
.
Thanks

i doubt the tang will eat it, and probably not the foxface either, it is a form of brown kelp, great at nutrient exporting, but useless as a food supplement for veggie fish, it will grow and look nice in your tank though

no it is not going to become a problem, the stalks will grow from the base, but it will not spread a whole lot, my buddy has some, and it actually is very nice to look at, something you dont see very often

That looks so cool! That stuff usually gets scraped off. You actually have a plant that will grow, not go out of control, and nobody is gonna eat it and wreck it. I'm jealous. :joy: Where did you get it? You cant post the link here but just give us a good hint, like the name!
