Adding Water?

Just so I get this correct I only need to add saltwater when im doing a water change, to just top off the tank due to evap I can just put straight R/O in?

what you need to do is fill up your tank and sump to the height you wantm Then grab a marker and mark the spot where it is filled on the return pump section. Assuming you have a sump with sections. Mark that water level. Then only fill it back up to that level and no more. You can cause too many flucuations in your salinity level by adding more or less.

yes learn to top off daily to keep things in balance and avoid a quick salinity change.
I can remember a little book from the 80's or early 90's listing this as one of the most often made mistakes by new hobbyist........
Like everyone said top off with RO of freshwater only........
