Addition timing....

I recently finished cycling my 80 gallon wanna-be/soon-to-be reef tank and have started with my first two additions of a Perc and a Lawnmower blenny - who have now been in there a little over a week.
My question is...since I am a "reef noobie"...how much time do you allow your "new" fish to acclimate and settle before adding the next "new" batch? Is this different for inverts such as corals and anemones?

mainly i dont add anything earlier than a week but sometimes i do it all depends on what i am adding and weather the fish/corals/inverts can handle it yet

I generally wait at least a month in between additions, and for a couple reason. I may buy a couple things, but at least a month apart.
1. I am in college, and am BROKE.
2. I am in college, and am BROKE.
3. I hate the whole acclimation process.
4. Some of my corals grow rather fast, and I am not very good at pruning yet. I want to be sure I have enough room.
5. I ususally go on the first sunday of the month, and I sure do get excited when it comes around.
6. Plus it gives the bio-filter a chance to keep up.

I personally aclimate my inverts longer since they are more sensitive to water conditions. My fish usually take 30 or more minutes and I take anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours to aclimate inverts. I just let my corals float for 15 minutes to get the water temperature right and I stick the coral in without acclimating. I've had no problems with these procedures thus far. In the circumstance of acclimating a starfish the more time the better. A minimum of four hours is best. I usually acclimate them overnight, it might be overkill , but it works. I've moved my blue linkia a couple of times without a problem. HTH.

Fish Ill acclimate from 1 -2 hours. Inverts and star fish about 4 - 6 hours.
