I have some "base rock" sitting around that I would like to use. I would like to turn some smallish pieces into a big piece. Anyone know what I should use that would be safe? Has anyone had experience doing this? It would be for a fairly large, aggressive, FO with some LR, acrylic tank.
Thanks

There's actually a type of "putty" that you can use that is specifically designed for this purpose. There are even 2 different colors; grey or coraline. Look for a product called Aqua Stick or another one called Colored Reef Epoxy Putty.

depending on how big you are talking about, some people have very successfully drilled out say 3/4" - 1 " holes in LR (usually at least the size of a softball ) and connected the pieces with appropriately sized PVC piping. you can make intricate arcs and bridges and the like...
