Advantages of Titanium Heater?

I understand they're better because they won't break, but are there any other advantages over a submersible glass heater? Are there any disadvantages??
Also, any particular brands of titanium heater you'd recommend? (or avoid?)

Here is my story detailing how that heater became to look like that: https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/show...ghlight=heater
I've switched to titanium heaters for my tanks, though I still use Ebo Jager glass heaters for topoff water, water changes, etc. and only because Ebo uses 2mm glass rather than the flimsy 1mm in other heaters.
But for titanium heaters, I've had great luck with the Won Brothers Pro Heat line. The Pro Heat II is great with it's LCD temperature readout, but if you are using a controller or monitoring your temperature elsewhere, the standard Pro Heat works just as well.

Yep, Won Pro heaters, I have never had a problem with them. I use two, one in sump and one in fuge. I still use a glass heater to heat up my water changes though.

Any thoughts on the Via Aqua Titanium heaters? (I happened to come across one on an auction site)

Mine has the thermostat on a seperate wire. make sure that you put it at least 1/4 of the way down in your tank. While I was doing a water change the thermostat was out of the water and it caused the heater to get so hot that it melted one of the suction clips.
