I got into it about two years ago. FOWLR I believe is the acronym and I have only had deaths with starfish and shrimp. Probably because of the calcium levels or not enough food. Best advice for a beginner, find someone who know what they are doing and have them walk you through it step by step. Then you can pass it on someday! Nothing good happens fast in a saltwater tank. I am setting up a new one and taking it very slow.
