advice for a good filter!!

hi guys!! I curently have a magnum 350and i just put carbon in it,but i dont like it !!What would be a good one for 82 gal bowfront!!!Tanks!!

imo, live rocks r the best filters.

i use a FX5 and a 305Fluval. but my tank is 210gal go for the Fluval FX5 imo just dont use the filter media for any of any filters.

In my 50 gal i dont have any filter,in the 80 gal it came with the tank and i only put carbon in it,reading post it seem that alot of people have filter,is it 50/50?

Do you use a skimmer? I have a 55. Octopus HOB 300F, 60 LBS Live Rock. I have no sump, everything we do is manual. Our Reef tank Runs great. We have never registered Nitrates in two years.

In the 50 gal i have remora(plus 24 inch hang on refugium) and in the 82gal i have an octopus.

the best equipment you can purchase is a good skimmer. Power filters is for fresh water fish.
