I just bought a 50 pound bag of quikrete premium play sand. It says is washed to give you the best possible sand available for play boxes. Can i use this in my tank. HOW DO I TEST THE SAND WITH VINEGAR DO I PUT A LOT OF SAND IN A CUP AND A LITTILE OF VINEGAR OR THE OTHER WAY AROUND AND WHAT KIND OF BUBBLES SHOULD I BE LOOKIN FOR BIG OR SMALL :help:

I Just Test The 50 Pound Bag Of Quikrete Premium Play Sand I Got From Lowes With The Vinegar And Seen It Fizz A Littile. So Is It Cool To Ues It In My Tank.

I doubt this is good sand to use, I've never seen quick crete sand be the right stuff.
What you should see if pure white sand, arogonite, not silica sand.
hit the search button above and type "is this sand". You'll get a big thread about the right sand.

DONT use quickrete...tested it myself today...does NOT foam at all!!

Good plan sin, it's not like the sand for a 25 is gonna break the bank, stick with stuff you know is safe!

for now on i'm going to. just don't want to spend to much money right now i'm new at this and i don't want to spend alot of money if enerything is going to keep dyeing
