advice on catching a fish

Anyone have any tricks to catch a fish? I don't have a lfs that sell traps. I was wondering if anyone could tell me any way to do it without having to tear out all of my rocks.

What type of fish.
Many times if you know where the fish sleeps you can just net it out early in the morning, before it wakes up.
Or you can try feeding the fish out of a net for a few days and then when it is not expecting it you can net it.
Or you can buy a trap online, I have had really really good sucess with the one they sell on this site.

It is a purple pseudo. Thanks for the idea about catching it where it sleeps, I will try that.

Leave your net sitting in the tank for a while, and feed into the net so that the fish gets brave enough to eat out of the net. do that for a week or so, then feed the net and sweep up the fish.
That's one fast fish though.
