Advice on New Camera

I'm needing to purchase a new camera by Monday for an upcoming trip and to eventualy take great shots of my tank when it is complete. Here are the cameras I'm deciding between and the best prices I could find, comments would be appreciated:
Cannon:
A700 6.0MP, 20modes, 6Xoptical zoom $245
A620 7.1MP, 20 modes, 4X optical zoom $197
A540 6.0MP, 21 modes, 4X optical zoom $209
Nikkon:
Coolpix 7600 7.1MP, 16 modes, 12X optical zoom $169.97 -refurbished model
Kodak:
Z650 6.1MP, ? modes, 10X optical zoom $164.49
Samsung:
Digimax S800, 8.1MP ? modes, 3x optical zoom, W/1GB SD card $327.95
I like the body style of the Kodak camera best, but it seems the Cannon's are very popular on this site. Should I go for most MP or what????

my brother has the canon a620 and I have played around with it a little bit and I think its a nice little camera. You can also get a wide angle attachment and a telephoto attachment for this camera. I dont know how much they are or how good they work. If you have any questions about this camera maybe I can answere them.

I ended up buying a Kodak 6.1 MP Z650 for $202, ended up buying package for $599 and got following:
