will do. i think i messed up this time i listened to store who gave all wrong advice so far

Water changes should help the algea problem and ammonia problem once you start using ro/di water. This is a very challenging hobby! :happyfish :happyfish

live rock was give to me by store it had some stuff growing on it when i first got it will that come back after i get rid of algee? i hope its not dead

Yes I think live sand is better then coral-we started out with coral and changed to live sand-it was costly but well worth it... :happyfish :happyfish

I listened to the stores also

, and now slowly switching to sand. Easier to keep clean.

how do i change the water out? put salt in ro water and poor in?

I would do a 10% change everyday. Test often, but your tank is new and def wait till everything is all set before adding more fish.
