does anyone know how long it takes an established tank to rid itself of parasites and anything else bad? Ive had bad luck losing 4 damsels and my maroon clown suddenly in about the span of 2 weeks... im still not sure what happened but i believe they're parasites in my tank in massive numbers. I dont want to do hyposalinity or copper treatment because i have 5 crabs roaming around and a large condi anemone. thanks for the help

It takes about a month with no fish host in your tank. You could wait 5 wks just to be on the safe side if you wanted to. Have you seen what looks like salt sprinkled on your fish? Look at the clearer parts of the fins. Sometimes ich is easier to see that way.
What are your h20 parameters? How long has your tank been set up and fully cycled?
We need just a bit more info you help you out.
