I have mixed opinions on aeration in my tank. Is it good or bad to have an bubble wand in the tank?

IMO its bad. It will contribute greatly to salt creep and bubbles are not necessary.

I agree no bubble wand. Leave the bubbles to your protein skimmer.

I'm not using a skimmer at the moment. I was told that I did not need one for fish-only tank.

What is salt creep? Is it what it sounds like?

Salt creep is basically salt spray. You may notice salt crusting around the lip of the aquarium, thats salt creep.
