Aggressive Lawnmower Blenny?

Is there such a thing? I have one in my tank along with two false percs. The blenny seems to have a strong dislike for me and his reflection because he attacks the glass and paces back and forth in the same spot literally for hours. He is not eating when he does this. Other than that he seems normal. He eats all kinds of algae, flake food, frozen, you name it, he eats it. He has no other odd behavior other than attacking his reflection. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, lawnmower blennies can be very aggressive sometimes. They will often not tolerate other blennies, and if not provided with adequate food will even eat the slime coating from other fish. I have a large lawnmower that killed a blue hippo tang in a display tank of an LFS from a neighboring city.

OK Justin. Stick your face up against the glass and have someone take a picture and will see if it's you or the fish :) .
Mine is normal when I am near the tank, but it displays a definite displeasure when someone visiting the house is near the glass for any length of time. No problem with the other tank inhabitants, but it is a 75 so there's more room for territories.

I had my blenny first and when I added a clown 2 weeks later, the first initial response was aggressive, but now I have no problems (3 weeks later) and it doesnt even scurry (sp) away now when I walk by the tank. Mine is a 75 also like frankl15207. In one article I read, which I have in front of me, says a 30 gall. or larger for the LMB.
