Aggressive Tang, help.

I have a 90 gallon tank up and running. I first added a neon velvet damsel and a pair of cinnamon clowns. I then added my tang...after about 2 weeks I decided to get a false lemon peel angel and a coral beauty angel. At first my tang was just investigating the new additions..about 30 min later he's switch flipped and went psycho. By the next morning both falsie and the coral beauty were dead. Any advice on what to do with my tang when adding new fish??

Usually a tang should be the last edition to a tank because of territorial issues also wat tang do u have. Wat u can do with the tang is if u have a hospital tank or something of that sort u can house it in there for a few days while the new additions get settled in then put the tang back in Hope this helps Thats wat I do and it works

It is a yellow tang. My father is starting up his 60 gallon tank. I thought about just putting him in there for a couple of days as a time out.

i agree with dilan, with the size tank you have you eather haft to take the fish out for a little bit or your tang will continue to cause terror.

A yellow tang, finding itself in a 60 gallon tank, will become more aggressive. This fish needs 6 linear feet if swimming space to be happy. Whenever you add new fish completely rearrange the rock work so that no fish in the tank has a territory. This will often blunt the ferocity of an aggressive fish.

If geridoct's idea doesn't work, take out the tang for 2-4 weeks and then rearrange. If done right the tang will think that it was put into a brand new tank. Btw a tang in a 60 is too much. Try a one spot foxface. They still have that brilliant yellow ,but they are peacefull, alge eater, and very cheap. They also have venom in its spine and the other fish now that; therefor nobody will bother it. Did I forget to mention that they are not territorial?

Agreed on the fox, I have both fish together and the fox while bigger its the least intrested in new additions
