i just now added 2 female lyretail anthia's to my tank and about 5 min later my powder blue started chasing them aggressivly. is this normal behavior for a pbt? i hope he eases up on them

Its common for established tangs to be aggressive towards new additions...maybe keep the lights out for a while to allow the new fish to adjust and adapt. Hopefully your PBT won't do any damage ...

hmm, i didn't know they'd be aggressive towards other fish, i just turned out the lights. hope all is well in the morning

things are going a lot better today. the pbt is leaving the anthia's alone for the most part. they have been hidinig by the overflow a lot, but they are starting to look more comfortable and venture out into the open. both anthia's even ate very well today:cheer:
