AHHHH Cloudy Water

Hey guys...i got rid of my crushed coral and added southdown sand and live sand and my tank is soooooo cloudy...i changed the carbon to see if that would help but the water is just too think and milky from the sand...are there any chemicals you would suggest to clear this up ...i need help fast:help:

time is the best thing. bacteria will form on the particals of sand in the water and cause it to sink and stay down, over time you'll not get sandstorms when something disturbs the sand.

i am testing all my parameters right now...if everything turns out ok will i be able to put my live rock and fish and corals back in my tank...i also added some biozyme so hopefully the bacteria will multiply quicker

with just replacing the substrate no.
your rock should be fully curred allready and any cycle you'll get from adding new substrate will be minimal and easily taken care of with a water change if needed (most likely wont need to do one)

ok i tested everything -- trates and trites and ammonia are all at zero, pH is at 8 right now ...will adding some of my origianl water help at all?

very little. bacteria do live in the water but its a very small amount. the only benifite to it is IMO the water is more closely matched to what the fish/corals are being kept in when you use old water.
