Have the LFS hold the fish for you. Clean out as much of the pieces as possible. Depending on the size of your tank, the size of the anemone and the size of your clean up crew, you might want to get ready to do a water change. The ammonia level may start to rise. If so, do a partial water change. Let the tank stabilize before adding the fish. Your LFS should not have a problem holding the fish, although they might require a deposit. Explain your situation, they should be willing to work with you. HTH

i wouldnt add anything to that tank now. Check your parameters, i bet your ammonia shot up with him dying, it probably put some other kind of toxin in your tank. Id recommend running some carbon on your tank, and doing a good water change until you get the levels back to normal. Do you have anything else in that tank now??

you should get a prefilter attachment for that powerhead if youre gonna use it... i lost a mandarin the same way you lost yours... i just attach the basket part of the prefilter and leave the actual filter part off (it was trapping too much stuff)... i have also heard that you can stick a bioball in the intake to keep livestock from getting sucked in. HTH

Won't a huma huma trigger nip at, bite, and attack anenomes? I tried a cheap anenome in my trigger tank back in the day and they had a field day with it. I guess it either didnt sting it, or the triggers were too tough for it.

Wait... now if there is something like a huma huma anenome that I don't know about... just disregard what I said. Cause I know about fish... but no nada about anenomes.
