then I had to remove the peppermint's because they were nibbling on my elegance coral. it was hard though just use the old reverse coke bottle trap or keep them if you don't see a problem

I got rid of all mine with a kalk loaded syringe. When the lights when out I went hunting, injecting each of them in the center.

Okay here it is a 100% cure for apitasia anenome. It is a nudibranch its name Berghia verrucicornis that is all it eats and it will not harm any othere anenome as they have a very special diet and only eat one thing apitasia anenomes. They are very nice looking nudibrach also. There is one thing to now about this invert it eats alot of apitasia so if you want to keep it in your tank you will have to breed apitasia in advance to keep it alive, or if your local f/s will let you rent one or use one they work great. :D :D

Reefkeeper1,
You mentioned that these nudibranch eat these aiptasia anenomes. I have about 11 of these last time I checked today. I have notices this increase is within about a month. Who much do they eat? How long will it take these fish to eat the ones I have already?

Good luck finding this particular Nudibranch....A nudibranch isn't a fish, its a sea slug.
A peppermint is much easier to find and keep as they don't NEED aiptasia, they just like it....
The problem with the nudibranch, besides finding someone who sells it, is keeping a constant aiptasia supply. While aiptasia grow like weeds and reproduce like rabbits, making sure they stay ahead of the nudibranch may be a challenge.
This particular Nudibranch will ONLY eat aiptasia.....
But if you do find a source that would be cool.
I always like to hear about new ways to kill these menaces.

some stores do carry them and if you do a search on the net for sea slug forum you will find people that use them and have had them breed. They will send them to you if you pay shipping. If you do not plan to keep them find some one who will or see your lfs will take them.It would take it less then a couple of hours to consume only 11 apitasia.

Hey Betterhalf,
Wanna cheap and easy way to rid your tank of these horrible creatures?! Use a syringe or eyedropper full of hot water! I had two aiptasia anemones yesterday....used the hot water technique and haven't seen them since! They were small...but they were stubborn....they even lived through me stabbing them a few days ago! Kill it for free!
