Aiptasia on Chaeto

I have recently found this morning that I have aiptasia on my chaeto. It is just one little anemone type thing that is growing on it. Im not sure how to kill it, so my question is, how do you kill aiptasia if its on chaeto? I tried to pull the piece of chaeto out and cut off the aiptasia, but whenever I pulled it out, it would shrink and I couldnt see where it was. Any advice would be apreciated.

cut the aptasia off of the cheato even if a little cheato is dicarded

How do I cut it off if whenever I take it out it shrinks and I cant see it anymore?

if it's in your fuge, and if you have a filter on your return line, i'd just leave it. there are some people who actually buy aiptasia, so you have a nice place to grow it.

Well, I finally got the aiptasia off of the chaeto. If I see anymore in my fuge then I will just let it grow and just put a filter sock or something on my return. Can it do any harm in my fuge if I just have LR LS and chaeto?

nope, and it may even feed off of particles in the water and act as a filter
