Aiptasia or good anenome

Is there a surefire way to tell the aiptasia apart from a good anenome
I have tried looking at different pics but I cant tell
The reason I ask is because I just got a new piece of LR the other day and now I have an anenome looking thing in the tank. It is pretty small about half of a pinky width. It is an orangish brown color and has been crawling on the glass. He looks pretty cool so I would hate to kill it if it's not aiptasia. I tried taking a pic with my digital camera but it just comes out blurry. I need to learn how to use the manual features in the camera. LOL Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i would say, it is aipsia. you want to get rid of it asap. thick paste of kalkwasser injection has always worked for me.

I've never seen Aiptasia travel, just multiply. I think Aiptasia just looks like a really ugly fanworm anyway. They're also called glass anemones because they are transparent brown. If you touch aiptasia it sucks into it's tube, try that. (It won't sting you if it's aiptasia, if you get stung it's an anemone...sorry.) Can I watch? ***)

Well, it is on the front of the glass on the tank. Very easy to get to. I guess I'll touch him with the net and see what it does. If it sucks in then he is history. If he doesnt then I guess he lives and we see what happens. How fast do these guys multiply if it is aiptasia?

I have a growth I'm not sure what to do either. I followed the advice and touched it and it closed up for about 10 seconds and returned to normal. It's the only growth like it in my tank. It arrived on a LR with the mushroom last week. Has not moved at all. Here is a picture
