If it's only 70 or so, go to Walmart and get about 8 cans of Krylon spray paint. Hang the pickets up outside, and do a couple light coats. Krylon brand dries in about 5-10 min, so multiple coats are really no big deal.

That is an excellent idea D, except for the fact that the area under the stairs is going to be painted the same white color. So going from top down it will be stained handrails, white pickets, stained steps and white drywall covering the stair structure stuff.
Sorry to get all technical on you and use tech talk there.
C-ya tomorrow. I hope you are hanging in there man!

Cant you adjust the volume of paint flow on your sprayer? I used one years ago to paint a picket fence and it had and adjustable sprayvolume.

TF, well I did give thought to what everyone said. I thought about using my sprayer, I could possibly use it, but I would have to turn the pressure way up so it atomizes correctly. Also the only hose I have is at least 25 feet long, so just to try it I would have to suck up about half a can of paint.
Anyway I did go to plan B. Rather than use house painting things I bought craft style paint brushes. Including some Camel hair brushes. One problem with those is that they shed the first time you use them (thanks Big A
)
So far so good, the quality is much better!
