Alantic carpet anemone

can anyone tell me how I can get this animal off the rock he attached himself to with out hurting it, he had like tripled in size since I added him to my tank and I wish to get rid of it, he is just way to big.

Good luck. Most people will just sacrafice the live rock that they are attached to. Its hard to get them off without damaging them. Our LFS doesn;t even try they will just "include" the live rock when you purchase any anemone.

that realy bites, because that turd like put himself on one of my most impressive piece of rocks, he moved from his original spot were I placed it... maybe I can put him some place that he won't like and catch him in the act of relocating again....lol

that's a pretty good idea... it should work the best, allbeit slower.

Sometimes when I rearrange my tank my anemones will change rocks. You could try putting the rock in another location of the tank and see what it does. It's hard to catch them in the act of moving, and if you do they will probably grab a hold of something as soon as you touch them. I'd let him relocate to another rock then pull him out.

I just heard somthing that sounds kind of out ragious but, I called a friend who said rub a ice cube on his base.. I think I might just end up with a cold toed anemone.. <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" />

i would try letting it relocate to another rock like stacy says then remove that rock i dont know about the ice cube our local fish store has a green carpet about 2 foot wide they wont sell 1t b/c it would get damged maybe die they say
