Algae blenny doesn't seem to be eating

I have a 30 gallon tank with 40 lbs of live rock. I have a couple of spots where this red "furry" algae has gotten a little dense, so I decided to add an algae blenny. He has been in the tank for 10 days, and now I am beginning to worry about him. He seems to eat algae off of the glass and off of snails, but has not really eaten any of the plentiful red stuff in the tank. I don't think he can sustain himself from the algae on the glass and snails. In the first few days, I saw him munch a little bit on the red algae, but not lately. He also is looking a little thin. I have been trying to get him to eat purchased frozen algae, but he doesn't seem interested in that either. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you tried algae sheets? Mine likes those. Get a clip and put some on it (less than the size of a quarter) I made a mistake of putting a whole sheet in the first time (i'm not that bright sometimes) HOWEVER, I must say it did start an algae outbreak in the tank that does quite well for him now.

I read about algae sheets somewhere else, but when I went to my LFS, all I saw was this processed frozen algae. He certainly has no interest in that. Are algae sheets frozen? Do I just clip a piece in and let him pick at it?

They are not frozen no, they are like flat pressed sheets... and yes you get a clip with them usually (or buy it separate) Mine took to it right away.
