Has anyone had trouble with algae blennies? It seems like they never live past the quarentine stage. They look like they may have starved. Their side are usually sunk-in, about the day before death.
I got one when my tank was young and it didn't live that long. Now that the tank is established... (tons of pods everywhere) the new goby is nice and fat.
If your tank is young, I would not waste your money.

We got one first, for our 75 gallon, over a year ago adn all is very well still. If you do not have food for them, then you definitely need to get food to offer them.
I have a fairly new system (11 months) and my Lawnmower blenny (algae blenny) has been thriving for the past six months. He is probably my favorite fish...........always doing something.
I recently bought a lawn mower blennie. He looked healthy in the pet store but now he isn't doing much at all. There is plenty of algae for him to eat. He is breathing reel hard and hasn't moved much. I think that he probably won't make it. This is my first lawn mower blenny so I don't know there natural behaivor. I thought that they were a active fish.
