 !!! a 55 is considered (by some, not me) the bare minimum for even the smallest trigger... what is in your "full trigger tank" now?!?!?!?!?!
while working on removing algae, do you know where this is coming from?
my guess would be in your aggressive tank, too many trates, not enough water changes... post your specs, mainly: nitrates, phosphates, how old the tank is, whats in it, crushed coral or sand, do you use RO or RODI water, what is your lighting, etc...

you would be a good politicion you said everything possible
and never answered or addressed my question, nitrates may be a bit high will check tomorrow. just bought the tank on ---- with the fish and it was up for about five months. i've only had it a week cut me a husk. what eats algae that triggers don't eat????

which triggers? what is in the tank? list everything
you want to find out where the problem is coming from before buying an algae-eating fish so you can try and fix it without having to add another fish.

For the algae on the glass your best best is
to use a magnafloat magnet to scrape the
algae off the glass.
As far as algae on the rocks and in the tank,
mexican turbo hermit crabs would be your best
bet. Probably like 15-20 would clean up your tank
nicely. Plus they are very quick reacting so the triggers
wont even come close to eating them. Plus they have
hard shells that trigger cant bite through, and
they eat green hair algae and nusiance algae.
Why do I know this? cuz my triggers tank was covered in
algae and ever since I put them in his tank its spotless.

I agree that the snails would takecare of the aglea, but....I can say with personal experience, the Undulated trigger will eventually take care of the snails for you, we had one that ate every snail and crab in the tank before I figured out he was the one doing it.(found a large pile of shells in his hideout.) He went back to the lfs we bought him from. Good luck, Lisa

not real happy with this undalated, he is very aggressive. he has
fights with the clown trigger that is better than twice his size. may sell him and get a huma, or a pink tail , or a niger a little more passive i think.
