algae eaters

I,m looking for a algae eater that can help out the cleaning crew I already have,its a 24gal. tank an green algae is growing so fast ,I have to clean the glass almost every day.this just started about a week ago,any ideas? thanks :help: :thinking:

I have about a doz. ofthem in there rite now & they always did a good job of keeping everything cleanbut all of a sudden they can,t keep up anymore

So get some more or get trochus snails or astraea snails but turbos are the best for cleaning glass.

Test for phosphates and nitrates and back off on feeding. Are you using live phytoplankton? It can cause film algae blooms. Are you using any filter media that perhaps is'nt getting cleaned out? Are you doing weekly water changes with RO/DI water? How many fish and how much of a clean up crew do you have? It is normal to have to clean the glass every day or so, unless it is bright green and blooming out heavily every day.
