Algae Eaters...

What's up everybody... I've got a 30 gallon tank, and I'm wondering if there are any alternatives to snails that I can get to eat the algae off the sides of the tank.

personally id just buy a few snails..do u just not like them or sumthing?? i find them to be cute..in fact the longest living thing in my tank so far is my big nass snail..he has been thru a power outtage that lasted about a week..and a sudden emergency tank change due to a leaking aquarium...they really are troopers! but just like the otehr guy said, magfloat or scrub brush..along with a razorblade to scrape coraline off of the viewing side or sides of the tank

I've been using the magnet quite a bit, but to answer d0 thy d3w's question, I really just don't find them that appealing... I don't find them to be the prettiest things sticking onto the side of the tank, but I suppose I should get some since they at least help looking into the rest of the tank look better

Thanks.

I can't wait to get snails. Diversity of underwater life each doing its own job to keep your job easier is the most beautiful aspect of this hobby- to me.

Plus I think they are cool looking.

and u dont gotta clean ur glass as often...plus!!!!! if u have a lmb like me so u feed algae sheets often..theyll eat ANY left overs from that..ill go walking into my bedroom to have a good peak at my tank and find all of my snails gobbling down a chunk of an algae sheet...sea snails arent nearly as slow as the ones that live on land...my biggest nass snails cruizes at like .000999 miles per hour!!
