algae growth

I am wonder what algae growth looks like in a expert reefers working tank, is it like a zero growth on the glass thing, or a glass cleaning about once a month? I would also like to know what kind of water anyone who posts is using. Just kinda a servey. Any other algae pertaining info would be nice too.

but your still cleaning the glass weekly, what are you usually getting off of it, i mean in terms of algae's?

any other experienced reef keepers care to comment, is this the same for most people?

Yeah, I use a Mag-Float Magnet to clean off algae. But algae hasn't been a problem for me in little over a month now.

im just wondering because in my freshwater tank i clean the glass MAYBE once every 5 months, with the plants i have in it they keep the algae growth to VERY minimum, and im not super picky. I was just wondering if I could ever accomplish something like that in my saltwater tank.
