Algae ID??

I have no clue what this stuff is. It is growing in an area with low flow. It is a purple in color. It started growing in my established 55 a while ago. Anyone know what this is?

Try looking up:
1) Gracilaria curtissae
or
2) Halymenia cf. floresia
or
3) Galaxaura marginata
Sorry I don't have common names for them. I am just looking in one of my books: The Complete Book of the Marine Aquarium by Vincent Hargreaves.

not sure what kind, but it is macro algae if you have a fuge throw it in there it is beneficial.

Some type of Rhodophyta. alwasy hard to get down the species.

Definitely a macro algae. Go ahead and throw it in the fuge.
