Since going from my 90 to a 120 around year end I seem to be fighting an algae issue with hair algae growing out of control but only in certain places. The algae only grows in the top slots in my overflows, in the top of my overflows and on my powerheads. There is no algae growing on my liverock and no more than normal slime algae on my glass. Nowhere else in the tank do I get any algae of note. The tank is an all-glass reef ready tank and I am running dual 400W 20K halides with 96W actinics which is what I ran on my 90. Any thoughts as to why I am getting algae only in these locations?
I haven't test lately for PO4 but last time I tested for it, it was undetectable, no trates, trites, or ammonia. Haven't tested any water parameters in quite some time.
