Algae on Glass

What is the best way to get rid of the excess algae on the glass walls of the tank that my snails aren't getting to?
Right now I just use an "algae scrubber" which is like a sponge on the end of a plastic handle...I use the same kind of thing on FW tanks. Is there something better?

Get a magfloat or something similar... they are the best. Some places you can find a pack with assorted sized magnets so you can get to 'problem' areas easily.
I think they are much easier than the algae scrubber thingies with the handles.

i use one of those plastic car window scrapers on my tank as well as the usual magnet cleaners.
the best long term way is to use plant life to starve out the algae on the glass. That way you don't have to do any scraping. Or at least no more than once every 6 months or so.

I use a mag float and it works good. For the more stubborn algae, I use a clean razor blade and it works great. IMO the razor isn't in the tank long enough to cause problems,(heavy metals). I have found out that I need a new razor every time, because they rust up after being dunked in the salt.

I just bought a mag float today, and that thing works wonders. I wish I would have found out about them earlier, because it is sooo much easier to use and it works a lot better also. I cleaned all my tanks with it today, and I am going to start recommending that little thing. :D
