OK, I am getting algae growth on my fuge walls...I don't care about the back, BUT since the fuge is plastic, should I just get algae eating snails?, or use a magnet cleaner? (I know I can't use my scraper)
I want to be able to see my little critters swimming around in there..lol
I have 5 cerith snails, but I do not think they clean walls...

what kind of plastic?
I have a 3 astrea snails in my sump -- one for each section but I use a razor on my acrylic walls for areas I want to see :D

If it is smooth like acrylic and your careful... you can take a razor blade lay it 99% on its side and scrape it off... just don't dig into it and you'll be fine.

If you want to see in the fuge, get an "acrylic" magnet scraper. Be careful not to get any sand on it as the plastic will scratch easily. You can also use one of the very soft scaper sponges you get for dishes. I forget the name right now, but you know what I am talking about where it is sponge on one side and the rough stuff on the other. Just get the softest you can.

Right, do not use your display scraper on your sump. I would use a mag float for acrylic.

Yeah I have one, but it is for a MUCH bigger tank, and has the rough side...I think it's too big to use for the fuge.....so I am going to see about getting another one.
