algae problem please help

i have some ugly slime algae in my tank and when i brush it with a toothbrush, it just spreads on other rocks. here are some pics of it in my tank:

well, i have sps and my nitrates are untraceable. i do weekly water changes, and i think the problem is that i bought a coral from the lfs with some of this stuff on it and it spread??? but i dont know

Maybe try sucking it out with baster instead of blowing it around.It may not even be algae,its hard to tell from your photos.

Looks awful

Is it just on the one rock, and spreading on it? I would take it out and place it in salt water and scrub it off and see if that won't get rid of it.
That's what I did for hair algea. It has been a month and so far so good

well, i can try to take some of the rocks out and do that, but some are just too big, and some have valuable corals attached to them. but ill try to take the ones i can out.

Hi,
If it is already over more than one rock, my method probably won't work. It already is growing in abundance. You definitely can't endanger your corals.
You need a better helper. Hang in there, I am sure the more experienced will chime in.
I will keep an eye on the post to see what solutions they come up with.
Sorry I couldn't give you better advice.
