Algae Problem

Hello. First post here. I've had my reef tank for 1.5 years. I've been growing this bad algae for a while. It's green and thick. It covers a lot of the rock. I don't think it's hair algae because my lawnmover benny has taken care of that alge already. Here are the details:
ammo - 0
trates - 0
ph - 8.2
Calcium - 350 or so
Lights - 4 VHOs - I have them on for 8 hrs.
I'm pretty sure that I have plenty of cleanup crew.
Any suggestions? I'll try to post pics later. Thanks!

Did it just spring up? How long has it been there? And did you add anything new? Also what do you use for water changes/top off?

I guess for about a year. It's just thick now. I'm using RO water. I add LR regularly. I have about 130 lbs. I changed the bulbs at the 1 year mark. It's covering the LR and growing around the corals.
All I have are polyps because I've been trying to get rid of the algae before I buy more corals. It's even growing on the backwall. Could it be too thick for my emeralds and lawnmower, etc.?

So your continually adding live rock? I believe that could make algae spring up...it should eventually die down if you dont add anything major like rock.
