Few questions...
How old is the tank?
What kind of water do you use?
What is your lighting schedule?
All of these contribute to algae growth.

I would suggest getting a clean up crew or a fish that will eat the alge. I used to have a bunch on my rocks / glass. Then i got my Gold Rim Tang, and the little guy loves munching on it and its mostly gone now.

reefdude i just read your post, since your tank is only 3 months old its still new and the problems you have are normal for a new tank BUT i would need to know what you have in it in order to help.
