Algae Scraper Question

I have some very stubborn algae growing on the walls of my acryllic tank. My water is pristine and there's no algae on my reef (except coralline). I probably have a hundred snails but they don't get this stuff off, and it's starting to interefere with the viewing pleasure of the tank. I recently bought a mag float and it doesn't seem to work particularly well. Any suggestions? Remember, the tank is acryllic, not glass, and unfortunately the way that the holes are cut at the top makes it kind of hard to reach some places because the cutouts don't go edge to edge.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

The problem is that I can't get my hand down to the bottom of the tank. I need a magnet or something on a strong stick.

Coralline usually grow a lot faster on acrylic I guess part of the reason is the surface on acrylic is easier to stick for coralline. Well at least you got a lot growing on your tank some people take longer to grow them or not having any at all. Its always back and forth with either I have too much or I don't have any hehehehe...

they make a scraper on a long rod, it comes with a 3 in 1 head that has a scraper scouring scrubber and a sponge scrubber. You could either use that or get a snorkel and mask, lol.

for the price of acrylic tanks i wouldn't scrape. i tend to scratch glass tanks sometimes with those magnetic things. somethings lacking in your cleanup crew, i don't know what. what kind of snails do you have, how big is the tank? water parameters and lighting time?

Like Reefnut mentioned, credit cards work great. I just set up my first acrylic tank about a month ago and am already learning how to battle coralline. I use the Algae Free Tiger Shark magnet that keeps it from building up, but if I go without cleaning for a few days, small specks of corallin start growing on the acrylic. An old credit card works great for what I can reach, but I also picked up a Kent Pro Scraper designed for acrylic to get at what I can't reach, and I've yet to scratch the acrylic with that tool.
