A long time ago when I was still scared of this hobby a friend of mine was Introducing me to the SW world and showing me all the cool stuff he made. One of these things was a Algae turf scrubber.
It looked like a bucket with Light fixtures on the insides and a bunch of PVC piping. There was a sheet of that weird plastic needlepoint screen stuff that apparently water flowed down and algae collected on?
This was before I even started thinking about SW so I didn't fully absorb the function and operation of this device and its true purpose. But now that I have a better understanding of this hobby and its principals I wonder if anyone could explain how it works and how I might make my own since I love building stuff. Any thoughts or advice is more than welcome!
