Another option for the time being is to get a phophate sponge by Marc Weiss. Some sites have them or check ----. It is a filter media that will remove phosphates and silicates from your water. It is supposed to work really well. I am going to use it once to remove my phosphates because I originally filled my 75g with tap water. These phos/silic have plagued me with hair algae. Use the sponge and continue with RODI top-off. :yes:

I think Mexican turbos do. They've done a real number on the hair algae in my just-cycled tank, too.
