Algae

HI, I'm having a lot of algae in my 6 month old tank. Anything I can do to keep the algae down, or possibly no algae?

Clean up crew. How long you run your lights? What are your phosphate and silicate readings?

I usually leave on my tank lights about 14 hours. And the readings are all good

A lot of people like 8-10 hours of lighting. Do you currently have a cleaning crew?

I would cut down on the lights to maybe 8-9 hours a day, and get a clean up crew and in no time you algae problem should be gone. Good Luck

Clean up crew is a good idea, but I have a 3 in. Niger Triggerfish, and a3 1/2 in. Panther Grouper.
