Im getting my live rock this friday but i already have brown algae starting to grow on the sand is that normal??
I am guessing you just recently set up your system? If so then I would say the algae is diatoms which is a normal process in establishing a tank. After you get it it can take a couple of weeks for it to go away. This is time when you would want to add your cleanup crew. Hermit crabs, snails and such.

problem is with than is its been set up for over a month and has already gotten alot of the brown algae and i just recently took 40lbs of CC out and replaced it with LS and installed a 125 pro clear wet/dry filter and new coral life lighting all on the same day last saturday so i was just wondering should it have come back that quickly cause i still dont have any live rock in there yet but im getting it this friday.all i have in there is just 2 damsels 5 hermit crabs and 2 little Mushroom Polyp - Green Ricordeas. Had more but they all died casue i just jumped right into everything without reading anything so any ideals or help will be greatly appreciated!!
Yeah dude, slow down. Its a game of patience with saltwater. Slow down, take your time. I guess it helps if you are broke like me. Lol i can't help but wait it out becuase i don't have any money to spend on stuff for my tank.

Yes, normal. Bloom should recede in a couple weeks. Adding your rock now will be fine. Keep an eye on water quality by testing every couple days. Are you doing water changes? Do you have a pic?

By doing this you removed bacteria and may cycle again. How much live rock do you have in the tank now? OOPS, sorry just reread your post. (none)
Just wanted to add that I agree with removing the CC.
what i was wondering is if should have came back that quickly because its only been like 4 days since i took the CC out and replaced it with the LS and itstalled the new lights and filter. ill try to figure out how to post a pic on here ASAP
i have alot of questions lol!! the rock you see i bought at a LFS it was on a shelf and dry and i dunno if it used to be LR or not but im wondring if i leave it in there long enough will it become live?? Is my power heads in the right place or should i move them?? Can i put my heater in my wet/dry filter and would it be best if i put some sand and LR in there too if so bout how many lbs of LS and LR and where exactly should i put it and should i have a light on the wet/dry filter?? Anyones advise would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks
First. Yes, your rock will establish life and become "live" rock.
Second. You will likely move the powerheads several times before finding the sweet spot. You are also likely to move them each time you add new coral if you are interested in keeping coral.
Third. Do not place your heater in the filter. If you run a sump in the future you can put it in there.
Fourth. Some people place small rubble rock in their HOBs. I have some bio media in my skimmer.
Fifth. Don't place a light over your filter unless you are trying to sustain desirable algaes in it. (ie chaeto)
Post another pic after you get your LR installed.
