Can anyone tell me what kind of algae this is? It almost looks like red hair algea. It only started after I add my new 300w LED lights. MY water is perfect. 0 nitrates 0 phosphates.

is it slimy? i hve some some algae that is red like that but is furry and i cant get off the rock. It might be some type of coraline alges. my tangs will eat it.

Blow on it with a (new for fish only) turkey baister...if it lifts up like a carpet it is cyano bacteria..we will help you from there.
If it is hard like the rocks, and can't even be scraped off...it is coraline algae. A good type.
Fuzzy red..mmm, I am not sure. I have some velvet looking red algae but it is hard so it is a type of coraline.

I took some rock out; it feels soft and hairy, but I can not crap it off with my finger nails. It's almost like a root. here is a close up pic
