What color Leds are best for growing algae in a scrubber?

Whites, and i believe reds

I'm just curious because in my research, 2/3 red at 660nm and 1/3 blue actinics at 440nm with ramp dial are best for algae growth.

I use 660 red and neutral white. I chose neutrals because they still have a large peak in the blue range and they're more of a full spectrum bulb.

660 reds and warm whites, from my research.

I've always used 20w CFL bulbs to be cheap. Lol

I would just like to point out, i did say red and whites. You fellas and your technical 660 jargin tho lol

Lately I've seen a lot of guys opting to use u.v. Or violet either with or instead of blues. Aiming more for the actinic range around 420nm or so.

But you can actually grow copious amounts of algae using just the 660nm reds alone. I can confirm they grow quite well all by themselves.
