alge growth

i have algea growth to do. its greenish brown also have a dark velvet type growth on some of my live rock. i have 2 emerald crabs -6line wrasse- pencil urchin- mandrin- a few turbo snails 8- hermit 7. my tank is a 75g ican say that i'am a beginner i really like to start a reef tank love the pic that i see. fish that i have is 2 clown 1schooling bannerfish 1 tang 1coral beauty. i've notice that some of my snail are dying. :help:

what kind of lighting, what is your light cycle, how much current, what's your filtration, and who makes your test kit. not to play 20 quest. w/ you. but thats how your gonna get accurate answers.

lighting i dont know because iam at work-8hr 4 lights on- 1 470 - 1200 flugal i think- hargon test kit

when you get off work can you take a pic of the algae growth. in my experience with algae i have always seen either high nitrates or high phosphates. thats why i questioned the accuracy of your test kit.

ok thanks also my live rock dont have those nice colors i had a bunch of worms all in side the rock but dont see them that much since i got 6line wrasse what to do to get the colors back to them :notsure:

well until i can see a pic. i would suggest a 40% water change for starters. and when you are draining with the tube, shiphon the algae out of the tank with the old water to remove most of it.
