Algea???

Ok, so I bought my 75gal setup about a month ago. I have one of those magnet glass cleaners which I use about once a week to clean the glass. I've kinda skimped on the back because its so hard to get at though. As a result, I'm noticing the glass is turning a light brown color - I'm assuming its algea growing? Also, the sand looks like its turning the same color in spots. What else can I do to eliminate or control this besides scratching my glass all up with the magnet? :notsure:

i agree i have 4 mexican turbo snails and they do a great job at keeping my tank clean might try some.
