i have some bad slime algea in my tank. and the common green algea that is on the glass how do i get rid of it and it also looks like bubble algea HELP
how old is your tank, deep sand or not. how are your nitrates. They usually come in ten packs here. I would start with that. If they completely strip your tank you will either need to find new homes for some or supplement them. the blue leg crabs actually ate my red slime algae. I also bought a purple urchin who seems to be doing a good job on the glass but your tank would be way too small for urchins.
clean-up crew, RO/DI water, Phosban with reactor, Tropical Science Phos pads w/ cyano powder additive, Cut down on feeding, increase circulation, and cut your light back an hour
and this may sound crazy but don't do water changes for awhile. Let your algae and cyano soak up the existing phosphates in your water as the phosban etc.. does its job eventually there will be nothing for the algae and cyano to feed on.
